Management Accounts & Management Accounting
Accountancy Made Simple from only £89/month
Your annual accounts show how the business performed last year. Management accounts tell you how it’s doing right now. Your accounting is one fixed monthly fee. If you’d like regular management reporting too, that’s available as an additional service.

Everything Needed for Management Accounts
A profit and loss statement once a year is compliance. A clear picture of your numbers every month is what helps you run the business, spot problems early, and make decisions backed by real information.
Specialist Management Accounting Support
Our management accounts are prepared by accountants who are technically qualified, industry accredited, and best-in-class, with decades of experience, not generated from a template.
You’ll get your own dedicated accountant, not a shared inbox or a rotating support team.
Support is unlimited, and quarterly check-ins mean your accountant is reviewing your numbers throughout the year and walking you through your management accounts, if you’ve added them to your package.

Included in your core accounting:
Cloud accounting software included
Annual accounts, prepared and filed
Corporation Tax or Self Assessment
Your own dedicated accountant
Tax planning reviewed every quarter
Support switching from another provider
Available as an additional service:
Management accounts, prepared regularly
Profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
Who are these services for?
At Caroola, we provide fixed-fee accounting for businesses of every structure: sole traders, limited companies, partnerships and LLPs. If you’d also like regular management accounts rather than waiting for year-end, that’s available as an add-on for any of them.
We’re also highly experienced with contractors and the self-employed, so if that’s how your business operates, we can give tailored guidance.

Management Accounts vs Annual Accounts: What's the Difference?
Annual accounts are a statutory requirement: a snapshot of the year just gone, filed with Companies House or HMRC, built for compliance. Management accounts are internal reports, prepared as often as monthly, built for you to actually use.
They use the same underlying numbers, but answer different questions. Annual accounts answer ‘did we comply?’ Management accounts answer ‘how are we doing, and what should we do next?’
Profit and loss:
What you've earned and spent over the period, and whether you're actually making money.
Balance sheet:
What the business owns and owes at a point in time.
Cash flow:
What's actually moving in and out, which isn't always the same as profit.
Frequency:
Prepared monthly or quarterly, not once a year after the fact.

How Much Do Management Accounts Cost?
Management accounts are priced separately, on top of your core accounting fee.
Packages start at £28 + VAT per month for sole traders and £89 + VAT per month for limited companies, with partnerships and LLPs priced based on your setup. That covers your core accounting.
If you’d like regular management accounts too, that’s available as an additional service, priced around how often you need reports, agreed with you upfront.

FAQs
- What are Management Accounts?
Internal financial reports, usually a profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow summary, are prepared regularly so you can see how the business is performing without waiting for your annual accounts.
- What's the Difference Between Management Accounts and Annual Accounts?
Annual accounts are a statutory requirement, filed once a year for compliance. Management accounts are prepared more often, usually monthly or quarterly, and are built to help you run the business day-to-day.
- Are Management Accounts Included in My Accounting Package?
Your core accounting doesn’t include regular management accounts as standard. They’re available as an additional service if you’d like more frequent reporting than your annual accounts.
- How Often Will I Get Management Accounts?
If you add management accounts to your package, we’ll agree a schedule with you, typically monthly or quarterly.
- Can I Switch to Caroola Part-Way Through the Year?
Yes. No need to wait for year-end. We manage the handover with your current provider.
- Are There Any Additional Costs?
Management accounts are the main one on this page: they’re not included in your core accounting fee, but they’re available as an additional service if you’d like more regular reporting. VAT registration, payroll for additional employees, or a change in business structure are priced separately or included in an upgraded package.
