Personal Accounting & Individual Tax
Accountancy Made Simple from only £28/month
Your personal tax doesn’t stop at your salary. Rental income, dividends, capital gains and a company director’s own return all need handling properly, separate from any business accounting. Caroola gives you a dedicated accountant for your personal tax, not just your company’s.

Everything Needed for Personal Accounting Support
A limited company’s accounts are one thing. What you personally owe, on dividends, rental income, or anything else outside your main employment, is a separate calculation, and it’s your responsibility to get it right.
Specialist Personal Tax Support
Your personal tax return is handled by accountants who are technically qualified, industry accredited, and best-in-class accountancy with decades of experience, not a seasonal filing service.
You’ll get your own dedicated accountant, not a shared inbox or a rotating support team.
Support is unlimited, and quarterly check-ins mean your accountant is looking at your full tax position throughout the year, not just once when your return is due.

Included in your core accounting:
Personal Self Assessment tax return, prepared and filed
Advice on dividends and other personal income
Cloud accounting software included
Your own dedicated accountant
Tax planning reviewed every quarter
Support switching from another provider
What's extra:
Rental Pages
Capital Gains
Foreign Income
Residency Pages
Who are these services for?
At Caroola, we handle personal tax for company directors, landlords, and anyone with income beyond straightforward employment, alongside our business accounting services.
We’re also highly experienced with contractors, so if your personal tax position is tied to contract work, we can give tailored guidance.

What Counts as Personal Tax?
PAYE employment is taxed automatically, so most employees never file a return. Personal tax becomes your responsibility once income arrives from somewhere else, and HMRC won’t necessarily tell you that you need to declare it.
Missing something isn’t usually deliberate. It’s more often simply not knowing a particular type of income needed declaring in the first place.

Dividends:
Income from company shares, including your own, above your dividend allowance.
Rental income:
Profit from letting out property, after allowable expenses.
Capital gains:
Profit from selling an asset, like property or shares, above your annual exempt amount.
A director's own return:
Separate from your company's accounts, and your responsibility personally.
Other income:
Savings interest, side income, or anything else HMRC doesn't already tax at source.
