Small Business Accounting
Accountancy Made Simple from only £89/month
We’re an experienced, transparent accounting partner for small businesses, with fixed-fee packages built around your structure, whether that’s a limited company, partnership, or sole trader.

Everything Needed for Small Businesses
Running a small business means juggling bookkeeping, VAT, payroll and your own tax return, on top of actually running the business. Caroola takes on the financial admin for you, so you can focus on the parts only you can do.
Specialist Accounting Support for Small Businesses
Our accountancy services for small businesses are provided by accountants who are technically qualified, industry accredited, best-in-class, with decades of experience.
You’ll get your own dedicated accountant, not a shared inbox or a rotating support team. They get to know your business and handle it from day one, whatever your structure.
Support is unlimited, and quarterly check-ins mean your accountant is looking at your numbers throughout the year, not just once and then they get left until the next deadline.

- Cloud accounting software included
- VAT registration and returns
- Payroll, monthly
- Annual accounts, prepared and filed
- Corporation Tax or Self Assessment
- Tax planning, reviewed every quarter
- Confirmation Statement support
- Unlimited advice and support
- Support switching from another accountant
Who are these services for?
At Caroola, we support small businesses of every structure, sole traders, limited companies, partnerships and LLPs, along with personal tax support for owners and directors. If any of that sounds like you, we can help.
We’re also highly experienced with contractors and the self-employed, so if that’s how your business operates, we can give tailored guidance.

How Much Does a Small Business Accountant Cost?
The cost of a small business accountant depends on your structure and the level of support you need.
Some accountants charge more once VAT, payroll or Self Assessment come into the picture. At Caroola, that’s built in from the start, so the price you’re quoted is the price you pay.
Packages start at £28 + VAT a month for sole traders and £89 + VAT a month for limited companies. Partnerships and LLPs are priced around your setup, with one fixed monthly fee for your core accounting.
If you need specialist support beyond that, it’s available as an optional add-on, priced separately and agreed with you upfront.

FAQs
- How Much Does an Accountant Cost for a Small Business?
£28 + VAT a month for sole traders, £89 + VAT a month for limited companies. Partnerships and LLPs are quoted individually. One fixed fee, no hidden extras.
- Do I Need an Accountant if I'm a Sole Trader?
Not necessarily. If your business is straightforward, filing your own Self Assessment is realistic. It gets harder once VAT, payroll or Making Tax Digital apply to you.
- What Does a Small Business Accountant Actually Do?
VAT, payroll, annual accounts, and your Corporation Tax or Self Assessment return. Beyond the filing, the real value is knowing what’s coming before it costs you.
- Can I Switch Accountants Part-Way Through the Year?
Yes. No need to wait for year-end. We manage the handover with your current accountant.
- Is Bookkeeping Included?
The software to do it in. Invoice, log expenses and track cash flow from your phone.
- Are There Any Additional Costs?
Your monthly package is one fixed fee covering your core accounting. If you need specialist support beyond that, it’s available as an optional add-on, agreed with you before any work starts.
