Year End & Statutory Accounts
Accountancy Made Simple from only £89/month
Every limited company has to file annual accounts with Companies House on time, every year. Caroola prepares and files them as part of your core accounting, for one fixed monthly fee.

Everything Needed for Year-End Accounts
Your statutory accounts are a legal requirement, not optional admin you can put off. Miss the deadline and the penalties are automatic, and they increase the longer you leave it.
Specialist Year End Accounting Support
Your accounts are prepared by accountants who are technically qualified, industry accredited, and best-in-class accountancy with decades of experience, not assembled from a template at the last minute.
You’ll get your own dedicated accountant, not a shared inbox or a rotating support team.
Support is unlimited, and quarterly check-ins mean your accountant is already working with your numbers throughout the year, not starting from scratch when your year end arrives.

- Statutory accounts, prepared and filed with Companies House
- Corporation Tax return (CT600), prepared and filed
- Cloud accounting software included
- Confirmation Statement support
- Tax planning reviewed every quarter
- Support switching from another provider
Who are these services for?
At Caroola, we prepare year end and statutory accounts for limited companies of every size, from a first year company to an established business.
We’re also highly experienced with contractors, so if you operate through a limited company for contracting work, we can give tailored guidance.

Your Year End Deadlines
Your financial year end is set when you incorporate your company, usually the last day of the month you were formed in, though it can be changed. Everything else runs from that date.
Miss any of these and HMRC and Companies House both charge automatic penalties, regardless of whether you owe any tax.
Statutory accounts:
Filed with Companies House within 9 months of your year end.
Corporation Tax payment:
Due 9 months and 1 day after your year end.
CT600 return:
Filed with HMRC within 12 months of your year end.
Confirmation Statement:
Due at least once every 12 months, alongside your other filings.
Filing method:
Companies House is moving toward software-only filing, we already file digitally, so you're covered as the rules change.

FAQs
- What Are Statutory Accounts?
The annual accounts every limited company is legally required to file with Companies House, covering your company’s financial position for the year. They’re a public record, separate from your Corporation Tax return.
- When Do I Need to File My Year End Accounts?
Statutory accounts are due at Companies House within 9 months of your year end. Your Corporation Tax return follows within 12 months, though the tax itself is due earlier, 9 months and 1 day after your year end.
- Are Year End Accounts Included in My Accounting Package?
Yes. Preparing and filing your statutory accounts and Corporation Tax return is part of your core accounting fee, not charged separately.
- What Happens If I File Late?
Companies House and HMRC both charge automatic penalties for late filing, and they increase the longer the delay continues. It’s one of the more expensive things to let slip.
- Can I Switch to Caroola Part-Way Through the Year?
Yes. No need to wait for your year end. We manage the handover with your current provider.
- Are There Any Additional Costs?
Not for your core accounting or your year end accounts, both are included. VAT registration, payroll for additional employees, or management accounts are priced separately or included in an upgraded package.
